Dr Catherina Tjahjadi

Dr Catherina Tjahjadi is a clinical and cardiac imaging cardiologist with a special interest in echocardiography. She graduated in Medicine from The Atmajaya Indonesian Catholic University in 1982. She completed her physician training and advanced training in cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. Subsequently she undertook a cardiac imaging fellowship at Western Health, Melbourne in 2017.
Catherina then moved to Leiden, the Netherlands, and completed a two-year research fellowship in cardiac imaging for ventricular hypertrophy at the Leiden University Medical Center.
On returning to Australia, she commenced at North Brisbane Cardiology at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside and North West Cardiology at North West Private Hospital in April 2021. She visits Caboolture and Bribie Island regularly. Her clinical duties include managing outpatient clinics and ward patients, also reporting ECGs and echocardiography.
She remains active in medical research and holds an honorary position in research at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
She has a particular interest in patients with cardiomyopathy.
