Electrocardiography (ECG)

An ECG is a non-invasive test that measures the electrical activity of your heart and can give information about different disease states, any previous heart damage and also heart rhythm. It is only a short procedure, taking less than 15 minutes, where you will lie supine on a bed, a number of electrodes are placed on your chest and the electrical signal is recorded and interpreted. This is a standard test that would be added with any cardiac consultation.
