Dr John Sedgwick is a Cardiologist with expertise in echocardiography. John works part time as an Echocardiologist and is a co-chair (academic) of infective endocarditis Queensland (ieQ).

John is an academic title holder (Senior Lecturer) with the University of Queensland Medical School and has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for research.

John has been certified by the National Board of Echocardiography (USA) receiving ‘Diplomate – Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography’ status as well as being granted Fellowship of the American Society of Echocardiography. He also is an advanced life support (ALS 2) Instructor with the Australian Resuscitation Council.

Dr John Sedgwick has a special interest in medical education, cardiovascular risk management and infective endocarditis.
