Dr Sachin Nayyar

Dr. Nayyar is a cardiac electrophysiologist trained in the management of adult cardiac rhythm disorders. His expertise includes interventional therapy for complex and simple cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac device implants, sudden death preventive treatments for heart-failure and inherited heart rhythm disorders. He holds proficiency in catheter-based advance ablation strategies for ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation, as well as cardiac resynchronization therapy. He regularly performs endocardial and epicardial mapping procedures, including specialised novel therapeutic tools. He trained at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, University of Adelaide, where he also completed his doctoral research in ventricular tachycardia mapping procedures. He gained further experience in the entire spectrum of cardiac electrophysiology and computational therapeutics at the Toronto General Hospital, University of Toronto, before returning to Australia. His research articles have been published in notable international journals. He is employed with the Queensland Health at the Townsville University Hospital in Townsville and consults at the St Vincent Private Northside and Northwest Private Hospitals in Brisbane. He has admitting rights at the Townsville University Hospital and St Vincent Private Northside hospital.
